Overview

At DMGT we believe being a successful business means operating in a responsible manner. This success depends on the performance of our businesses to our stakeholders, who include our employees, shareholders, readers, listeners, suppliers and communities.
We are aware of the many challenges that the corporate responsibility (CR) agenda establishes, and we are keen to play our part in ensuring that we meet these challenges.
DMGT is in the FTSE4Good Index Series, which measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognised CR standards and facilitates investment in such companies.
Responsibility for this area was transferred during 2008 from the Risk Committee to a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) a sub-committee of the Board which is now the forum at which corporate responsibility is discussed. The Committee’s remit is to oversee the Group’s environmental, customer, community and employee practices. The Board has policies in place on equal opportunities, whistle-blowing, health and safety and the environment. Overall responsibility for CR at Board level lies with the Finance Director.
