DMG Radio Takes Controlling Interest in Medway FM

Charlie Cox, Group Chief Executive of DMG Radio, announced today that the Group had taken a controlling interest in Medway FM, which serves Medway and the surrounding areas.
He said "The addition of Medway FM gives DMG Radio contiguous coverage through five counties around London and considerably strengthens our strategic position".
"We now control nine licences in the South East of England, making us the most geographically-focused radio group in the wealthiest area of the country".
"I am also pleased that Nick Jenkins, the Managing Director of Medway, with his long association with Medway, has agreed to remain on the Medway board as a non-executive director".

DMG Radio Limited is the radio broadcasting arm of the Daily Mail and General Trust. It owns some 70 radio stations in the UK, Australia and Central Europe, in addition to substantial radio investments.
