Brisbane Radio Licence

Brisbane FM Radio Pty Ltd, a joint venture between DMG Radio Australia ['DMG'] and the Australian Radio Network ('ARN') has today acquired at auction a new FM radio licence in Brisbane, Australia. DMG is 75% owned by DMGT and 25% by GWR Group plc. The licence was acquired for A$67 million (£25 million).

DMG recently launched Nova 96.9, a new FM licence in Sydney acquired last year, and in December 2000 acquired a new FM licence in Melbourne which will launch later this year. It already owned an AM station in Adelaide and 57 regional licences across Australia.
