Associated New Media Announces the Launch of This is Travel

Associated New Media (ANM), the digital division of Associated Newspapers Ltd, today announces the launch a new travel site This is Travel (www.thisistravel.co.uk) in January 2002.

The site, which joins ANM's network of four market leading sites femail.co.uk, This is London, This is Money and UK Plus, will provide independent advice and information to help UK internet users plan their holidays from start to finish.

Backed by the editorial power of the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, the Evening Standard and Metro, This is Travel will be first and foremost a comprehensive research tool with destination guides to over 70 countries. It will also include independent reviews of thousands of hotels and apartments and constantly-updated holiday ideas - all written by specialist journalists exclusively for This is Travel.

This is Travel will also offer the ability to book online through carefully selected commercial partners. Flights, hotels and car hire will be available through the Online Travel Company and users will benefit from a vast array of late holiday deals from Teletext holidays, another DMGT group company. From April 2001 travelAds, a comprehensive database of classified travel advertising featuring many thousands of holidays searchable by both destination and activity type, will also be available on the site.
