At the Annual General Meeting of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc held yesterday all the resolutions set out in the Notice of Meeting, included in the Annual Report sent to shareholders on 16 January, 2002, were duly approved.

In addition, as announced on 13 December, 2001, Mr Pierre Côté, a non-executive director of the Company since 1994, decided to stand down from the Board after the AGM and so has retired from the Board with immediate effect.
