DMG Radio Australia wins Perth FM auction

DMGT is pleased to announce that early this morning, DMG Radio Australia ("DMG") extended its national presence in Australia following its successful bid for the new commercial FM radio licence in Perth. The winning bid of A$25 million (£9 million) was made by DMG Radio Australia Perth Pty Limited, a company jointly owned by DMG and Australian Radio Network. The new station will be operated and managed by DMG on behalf of the joint venture. The new station will broadcast on 93.7 on the FM dial and is expected to go to air for the first time late in 2002 or early in 2003.

DMG is 75% owned by DMGT and 25% by GWR Group plc.
