Acquisition by Environmental Resources

DMG Information ("DMGI"), the information publishing division of DMGT, has through its subsidiary Environmental Data Resources, Inc. ("EDR") acquired the environmental business assets of Fidelity National Information Solutions for an undisclosed sum which did not exceed US$20 million (£14 million). Net assets acquired were $0.1 million.

EDR, based in Connecticut, U.S.A., was acquired by DMGI in 1999 and provides a full range of both current and historic geographic-based real estate information which is utilised by their customers to assist in their research and managing of risks in a commercial real estate transaction. The newly acquired assets will complement the existing business.

The transaction is expected to be earnings enhancing in the current financial year.
