dmg world media, DMGT’s exhibitions division, has completed on a number of small acquisitions in recent months. These acquisitions form part of its strategy to build its business organically, through a programme of new product launches and “in-fill” acquisitions that can be easily absorbed into its existing business structure.
The acquisitions include: a consumer home show in San Diego, California; a small antiques newspaper in the US; and most recently the acquisition of Gastech and the European Autumn Gas Conference (“EAGC”) from Turret Rai plc.
The total combined cost for these acquisitions is estimated at £7.4 million. This includes down payments to date of £6.8 million and further earn-out payments for some of the acquisitions of £0.6 million, based on future performance.
These acquisitions are expected to be earnings enhancing before goodwill amortisation in DMGT's current financial year.
