Acquisition of Expressions of Culture Inc.

dmg world media, the exhibitions division of DMGT, has announced the acquisition of Expressions of Culture Inc (“EOC”). EOC organises the SOFA Shows in Chicago and New York; these are high-end annual shows for the sculptural objects and functional arts (SOFA) market. The shows will form part of dmg world media’s premier art and antiques show division in the US, which also includes the Palm Beach and Palm Beach 3 shows.

The total cost was US$4.35 million (£2.4 million). We expect the acquisition to be earnings enhancing before amortisation in the coming year.
