Landmark Information Group was named winner of the coveted Best Use of Technology Award at The National Business Awards gala ceremony at Grosvenor House, London on Tuesday, 8th November. The ceremony which was hosted by TV broadcaster, Fiona Bruce, saw Richard Pawlyn, Managing Director of Landmark’s Property & Environment Division receive the award before a gathering of over 1,200 leading business people, parliamentarians, press and other VIPs.
Landmark is the UK’s leading provider of digital mapping and land data intelligence, supplying comprehensive data electronically and geographic solutions to a wide range of professionals in conveyancing, property, environment and government. It was Landmark’s commitment to provide reliable and cost effective data solutions, and it’s industry renowned mapping tool, Promap, which provides 18,000 professionals with immediate online access to Ordnance Survey digital mapping, which impressed the judges and demonstrated the extent of Landmark’s technological expertise.
Landmark competed against 10 other high calibre companies, including AstraZeneca UKMC, Asda, British Airways, Camelot Group and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Judging criteria for The Best Use of Technology Award category:
Judges looked for an organisation which could best demonstrate the effective use of business technology to create a significant and exploitable competitive or operational advantage in any business area including revenue, improved quality and/or customer convenience. Evidence of a well thought-through and executed strategy, addressing not only the deployment of the technology, but also its effective uptake by employees and stakeholders.
