Completion of acquisition of Genscape

DMGT announces that DMG Information, its business to business information division, has completed the purchase of Genscape, Inc. following clearance of the transaction by the U.S. anti-trust authorities.

As previously announced on 20 April, 2006 the initial consideration is $130 million (£71 million) payable in cash, with additional payments to acquire employee options up to a maximum of $66 million (£36 million) payable between 2008 and 2011 based on future financial performance.

Genscape, which is based in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A. is the market-leading provider of real-time energy generation and transmission information to the energy trading markets in North America and Europe.
