dmg world media today announced the sale of its consumer publishing business to Taylist Media Limited, a company headed by Patrick Taylor who has been managing this business as a dmg world media employee since 2006. This business includes KBB Review, KBB Magazine, KBB Review Awards, KBB Review Expo, KBB Supplements and online products, ERT, ERT Ireland, ERTonline.co.uk, ERT TV, ERT supplements and other online products. This transaction is effective March 11, 2009.

“Since we announced the results of a thorough strategic review in 2007, we have been re-shaping our portfolio to maximize growth,” said Michael Franks, Chief Operating Officer, dmg world media. “We identified some of our businesses as less of a strategic fit for dmg world media even though they were still serving their markets well. This is the best possible scenario for both sides as we have found a buyer who is eager to invest in and grow this business.”

The vast majority of the employees will remain within this group and not be affected by the change in ownership. The business will remain in their current offices, ensuring a smooth transition unlikely to affect customers or employees.

“We are so pleased that we were able to acquire this business from dmg world media”, said Patrick Taylor. “We’re talking about publications that have been serving their markets – the electrical and KBB markets, respectively - for over 100 years and 25 years. This is testament to our ability to weather the ups and downs of these industries.”

The company announced its intention to sell the UK consumer publishing business on February 24, 2009.
